Tree Trunk and Boatman Story

Bedtime Stories

There were two towns which were partitioned by a river. A boatman made his living by shipping travelers over the stream. Ordinary, he used to take a gathering of individuals from one bank to another and wait for travelers for the return trip. This was his daily schedule. One day boatman stood by excessively long and in the meantime, the rain began vigorously. He thought, before it's too late he should cross the waterway. At the point when he was paddling back alone he was diverted by a flood that originated from upstream. The flood carried the boat yet the boatman figured out how to arrive at the bank of the waterway. The boatman said to himself, "What will I do now? The boat was my solitary property. I have lost it. I need to make for the loss immediately."

Following day, he anticipated the creation of another vessel and went to the jungle searching for a big tree with an enormous trunk. He looked for quite a while yet he was unable to discover a trunk that was appropriate for a boat. He looked through the entire day and all night till night fell and it was dull. It began to rain once again. He began scanning for a spot where he could remain around evening time as it was excessively dark. As he strolled further, his eyes got a glimpse of light. He strolled towards the light. It was a cottage. He thumped the door. A wrinkled elderly person opened the door.

Boatman: Sir, I came to the forest searching for a tree to make a boat but it got dark and I got trapped in the downpour. Would I be able to remain the night and return home in the first part of the day?

Old man: Yes.

Old woman: Who is that my dear?

Boatman: I am astonished, you remain alone in this timberland. It truly takes guts.

The boatman who had not had a bit of bread from the morning felt terribly hungry.

Boatman: Sir, if you don't mistake me can I have a piece of bread? I am feeling hungry.

Old man: Yes, you take a small nap. We will wake you up when the supper is prepared. Make yourself comfortable.

The boatman laid down yet couldn't sleep. He heard some impossible to miss sound coming from the other room.

Boatman: What sound is that? Let me check upon it.

The old man opened a container and took a hat made of straw and he put it on his head and said, go...go...go...  and the old man vanished. Next, the old woman also did likewise and she also disappeared.

Boatman: Am I dreaming or is it true?

The boatman went to the box and discovered two additional hats. He took one and put it on his head and said something very similar. Go...go...go...

Promptly he began flying. Before he could understand what was occurring he found himself in the center of the imperial kitchen. The old man and the old woman were there, eating the royal dishes. They even took some of the plates and spoons which they stowed away in their bag. At the point when they saw the boatman, they immediately put on their hats and commanded, Back to the home, back...back... Same did the old woman and both of them vanished. However, the boatman began to eat and drink whatever he could. He disregarded the hat and cheerfully slept there. The guard who came in, found the boatman and took him to the King.

Guard: My master, I have the culprit. He is the person who is taking and eating your food every day.

King: So, you are the person who was the culprit. How dare? Now, this will be your last day. Soldiers, tie him to a tree and burn him alive.

According to the ruler's order, the boatman was attached to a humongous evaporated tree trunk.

Boatman: If I had just discovered this tree trunk before, this would not have occurred. What will I do now?

Logs were arranged around him and as it was a tradition, the Guard asked him, "What is your last wish?"

Boatman: My last wish, last wish.. ahh. I have left my hat in the kitchen. I would want to wear it while I die, please.

Guard: Okay, I will bring you the hat.

He was given his hat back. While the guard lit the firewood, boatman put on the hat and commanded to the hat, Back to my home. Back...back... The boatman disappeared along with the tree trunk and got himself in front of his home.

Boatman: Oh my dear wife. Come out come out.

Wife: Oh where were you and what is this? In the first place, let me untie you. Please tell me what is this?

Boatman: Ah... not a lot, you recall that we were looking for an appropriate tree trunk for our new boat. God himself attached me to this tree and sent me here. Okay...no time to talk. Bring each of my instruments, I have to carve the boat.

The boatman carved the beautiful boat and began his services as in the past and lived cheerfully with his significant partner.

THE END!
